What books have most influenced your life?
Aside from the overall influence of some great writers like Georgette Heyer, Zane Grey, and Amanda Quick, some of the books that most influenced me are A Tale of Two Cities, The Green Mile, Wuthering Heights, and Interview with a Vampire.
Have you ever considered anyone as a mentor?
” I sure have, my good friend and writing teacher Kimberly Comeau. She’s a brilliant writer and an amazing teacher. When I met her, I recognized the opportunity to learn about writing and pretty much camped on her doorstep. Luckily, she took me in. Heh heh.
Who is your favorite author and why?
My top favorite author is Charles Dickens. I have many close seconds, Stephen King, Liz Carlyle, Margaret Mitchell…
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Writing full time.
What are your current writing projects now?
I’m working on several projects right now. The next book in the Highland Lords series, My Highland Chief, a Scottish medieval, Death Comes for a Knight, and another Scottish romance To Tame a Highland Earl.
What contributes to making a writer successful?
Lots of practice and honest feedback.
Do you have any advice for writers?
Write every spare minute you possibly can. That’s the only way you get better.

When you wish to end your career, stop writing, and look back on your life, what thoughts would you like to have?
I never stopped learning, I wasn’t afraid to try new things, and each book got better.
