A Stairway To Danger by Ben Woodard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I grew up on Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys. I've easily read all their mysteries and even the newer ones where the sleuths teamed up. This book carries a lot of this teen spirit. The writing style is simple and the mystery although straightforward first, twists and turns into an ending you don't really expect.
I'm not sure if the author has written other books or if this will become a series, but I would love to see a whole collection on these young teens solving mysteries. The writing style is rustic and Benn Woodward is a fantastic storyteller, his narrative entertains and mystifies you.
Would I recommend this read? Oh yes, definitely.
