Tell us a bit about your family? I was blessed with four rambunctious kids. It’s surprising how much time flies. My oldest just turned 16. Teaching him how to drive has been a real test of parental strength, LOL. Luckily he’s a very cautious driver… so far.
What is your favorite quote, by whom and why? My favorite writing quote is by the all-wise Anonymous “You can’t edit a blank page”. It’s something I have to remind myself of when writing is coming hard.
My favorite personal quote is “Well behaved women rarely make history”. It’s attributed to different famous women of the past. I think it’s great because I’ve never been the kind of person to conform to what ‘Society’ thinks I should be based on sex.
What are you most proud of accomplishing so far in your life? My kids. Definitely. Second would be having the inner strength to go after my dreams. I’ll let you know if I ever fully arrive there : )
What is your favorite color? Any shade of blue
What is your favorite food? Um, hard one. Can I answer with ‘Coffee’?
What’s your favorite place in the entire world? My bathtub, with steaming hot water and bubbles, a good book, and a glass of sangria–afte the kids are in bed so I don’t hear “Mo-oooom” every few seconds ; )
What do you consider the most challenging about writing a novel? BICHOK – Butt in chair, hands on keyboard. I know it sounds trite, but if you want to write, you just gotta do it. Everything else comes from that first step.
