#PUYB Book Review - Shuffle Up and Deal by Susan DiPlacido

Shuffle Up and DealShuffle Up and Deal by Susan DiPlacido
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a definite page turner that will have you in stitches by the time you get to the first 10%. Think Goldie Hawn. Izzy is so clueless in some ways and crafty in others. Then there's the chemistry that has been written in. It's sizzling and entertaining at the same time.

The author obviously knows what she is talking about when it comes card games and poker. I've never really understood the ins and outs, but Susan makes it easy for the reader to understand and you're not buried under a ton of jargon. As Nick and Izzy's relationship develops, we follow them as they play as poker tournaments. Nick comes across as a know it all but you begin to wonder if it's all just a front.

Wonderful character development, and even better story-telling.

Would I recommend this read? Oh yes, definitely.
