She by Shireen Jeejeebhoy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
"An entity from nothing space and time" ... I read this in the description and thought it might be explained more in the book but it isn't. Overall, the plot is developed and makes for a good read but the characters are weak. They don't seem to have the strength or passion you see in the description.
I'm not sure if this book is part of a series but there are so many questions which we were left unanswered. For instance, why is Akaesman the way he is? What incident set him apart from the others like him. Then, there are the sections where you are easily confused into thinking Akaesman is a place not a person.
I would have liked this book far better if I had understood a bit more about Akaesman, perhaps a foreword or an introduction might help. I think.
Would I recommend this read? I would to any patient reader.
Overall assessment:

Editing: 4/5
Formatting: 4/5

Offensive content?: PG13 to PG15 for theme and content.
