#Orangeberry Book Review - Beside My Doorstep by Chloe Zola

Beside My DoorstepBeside My Doorstep by Chloe Zola
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

loved, loved the way each chapter is introduced with the address of where the author used to live. Many parts of the book are sad and emotional which I suspect were strong emotions as she finished writing this book. I think it is absolutely brave of Chloe to bare her secrets and inner soul to the world.

Her writing style is like having a conversation with an old friend. It is simple and to the point. Personal memoirs can be lessons for those reading it. We have three kids and sometimes worry how our current actions or decisions will affect them in 10 years. What will our parenting mistakes be? How will the memoirs of our children be worded?

This book made me think of so many different things which is why I liked it a lot. It touches on family, relationships and a woman's role. Thank you so much Chloe for sharing your life with us and I for one, look forward to reading more of your work.

Would I recommend this read? Oh yes, definitely.

Overall assessment:
Content: 4.5/5
Editing: 4.5/5
Formatting: 4.5/5
Pacing: 4.5/5
Offensive content?: PG to PG13 for theme and content but nothing at all heavy.

Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author through Orangeberry Book Tours. I did not receive any payment in exchange for this review nor was I obliged to write a positive one.
