The Staying Organized Survival Guide: Organizing Your Home & Getting Rid Of Clutter In Just 15 Minutes A Day by Chloe Wilson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a LONG overdue review. When I had just finished reading this book and was ready to post my review, the US was hit by Sandy. Thousands of miles away, in an unrelated storm, a tree fell on our power cables and our home had no electricity for more than a week. Chaos in so many directions, and my home was anything but organized.
If you've been hoarding things for 15 years and expect a quick-fix, this isn't really the book for you. Chloe clearly mentions that the reader needs to make the effort and the book functions as a guide. Is it useful as a guide? Yes, it offers simple tips from cleaning to storage that will work for any family home.
I have 3 kids, a husband who works all day (Monday to Friday) and we live in a 5-bedroom home. Yes, I am lucky but that also means things can go topsy turvy in a matter of seconds. I don't think I'll be able to apply all of Chloe's tips but that's the fun in this book as well. Get it and see what works for you.
Would I recommend this read? Oh yes, definitely.
Overall assessment:
Content: 4.5/5
Editing: 4.5/5
Formatting: 4.5/5
Pacing: 4.5/5
Offensive content?: PG just because I wouldn't let anyone under 6 near any cleaning products.
