Top 10 Horror Movies
Exorcist – It’s at the top of my list. The book’s better but the film is still highly disturbing in a way that other horror films have failed to match.
Carrie – A great story transferred brilliantly to the big screen.
The Thing – Greatest effects for its time bar none.
Jaws – the music, the rubber shark – need I say more?
The Haunting (1963) – Best ghost film ever by a mile.
Halloween – First of a genre and still the best.
Silence of the Lambs – Worthy Oscar winner and still one of the most disturbing films I’ve seen.
Psycho – They don’t make them like they used to! Hitchcock at his best.
The Howling – Often overlooked but great effects for its time and top entertainment.
Dawn of the Dead (1978) – Best of the zombie flicks – in my opinion.
