Seeing Through the Eyes of Love by Valarie Lovelight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book has me conflicted in more ways than one. I finished it earlier in the month but if I were to post a review with everything I thought, then I might come off as rude. If I didn't, there's no purpose in posting a review is there? So here's my attempt at trying to be as objective as I can.
The writing style was SO preachy at some points, it felt like I was reading a biblical passage. And then there was the love / romance theme that was mashed into it. It just didn't jive and seemed forced, as if the writer herself was having difficulties combining these two themes.
Would I recommend this read? I guess, but you'll need an open mind. A very open mind.
Overall assessment:
Content: 3.5/5
Editing: 3.5/5
Formatting: 3.5/5
Pacing: 3.5/5
Offensive content?: PG to PG13, some adult themes are present.
Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author through Orangeberry Book Tours. I did not receive any payment in exchange for this review nor was I obligated to write a positive one.
